As Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will join a growing team in a company working on some of the UK’s most complex and technically interesting projects across many sectors including energy, transport and water.

Key Responsibilities


* You will be responsible for managing a small team of Engineers and their delivery of work packages with minimal supervision and oversight.
* You will be responsible for the timely submission of deliverables, technical checking, monitoring of budgets and commercial management of projects.
* You will be responsible for the performance and development of professional staff by providing guidance, training, direction and feedback to your team.
* Your work will involve small and large sized projects. This will include engineering design of temporary and permanent works to high standards providing the right solution first time
* Show internal team leadership in implementing engineering solutions to problems.
* Lead day to day technical discussion and solutions with other designers, contractors and clients.
* Ensure requirements within technical briefs and works information are adhered to.

Requirements


* Strong academic background with postgraduate qualifications in civil or structural engineering.
* Minimum of 10 years’ relevant industry background
* Chartered Status in civil or structural engineering and membership of professional bodies.
* Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
* Proven background in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
* Proven tunnelling and underground space experience on major infrastructure projects.
* Good commercial track record
* Proven skills in BIM and other design software
* Proven working knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
