Job Status: Full time / Part time / Contract Base

Responsibilities:

* Conduct Online Lectures using D2L System - work on video recording with well-prepared lesson plans;
* Plan Course Overview - set up your course and meet the specific course expectations;
* Plan Lessons for Units - outline your course lesson plans and include step by step processes in teaching the required skills and materials for the lessons in each unit;
* Design Interactive Components of your Lesson Plans - peer and teamwork, labs, and other activities that will enhance student learning;
* Develop your MyOIA course(s) Page - create bonus quizzes, establish a routine, work toward a collaborative teaching-learning environment;
* Develop Student Documentation - welcome section,course specific vocabulary list, citation documentation, learning skills criteria chart, achievement chart, how to work on an independent research project, how to prepare for midterm/final exams;
* Adhere to Course Deadlines - review the policy on course creation and teacher expectations, complete the creation of the course on time;
* Develop an Interactive Teaching-Learning Environment - inspire students to learn, possess an engaging and interactive teaching style;
* Assess Students’ Individual Learning Needs - identify students’ academic strengths and weaknesses, provide sufficient support, use strategic teaching approaches;
* Promote and Implement Collaboration with Faculty and Staff - Collaborate with students, teachers, school administrators, and counselors to identify student needs, develop teaching plans, assess student progress and achievement;
* Design and Mark Students’ Assignments - quizzes, in-class discussion, research project, essays, examinations;
* Give your Comments and Feedback - track student progress, assess students’ learning growth, provide students with your feedback, help students meet the curriculum criteria;
* Develop a Trust-based Communication Relationship with students, parents, principal, and our administration staff.
* Have a Strong Commitment to Teaching Students worldwide - be responsible, be passionate, be patient, be devoted.

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
* Language: English (Required)
* Ontario Certified Teachers preferred but will consider teaching candidates with at least one-year professional, successful teaching experience in Science related subjects.
* Must be familiar with the Ministry of Education Curriculum and Growing Success;
* Must be able to incorporate Growing Success Assessment as/for/of Learning into Lessons;
* With enthusiastic and positive attitude, be highly responsible, self-motivated;
* Be passionate about teaching, be able to inspire our students;
* Be able to help students with diverse educational backgrounds and learning abilities.
